Fresh from the sea is the motto, and you won't find seafood any fresher than this! Only the prawns are frozen - the rest of the seafood on your plate come straight from the harbour (trawler company Viking Inshore Fishing also owns this Mossel Bay restaurant) so top quality and an excellent selection are guaranteed.
Situated close to the harbour with ample parking, The Anchor Restaurant has a relaxed indoor/outdoor ambience with a large central braai area and a stage for live entertainment. The catch of the day (usually a choice of 4 or 5) plus spare ribs and chicken are prepared on the fire in full view using recipes perfected over many years.
Other dishes on the menu range from seafood platters and combo's to hake and calamari burgers, smoorsnoek on rice to mussels with lemon - all served with a variety of salads, vegetables, chips and yellow rice.
The wine list includes a selection of Org de Rac, a very popular (and prize-winning) organic wine from the Piketberg region.
